Specificity: Specific for the AP-2 alpha protein and does not react with AP2 beta or gamma. On Western blots, it identifies the target band at ~52kD. Based on amino acid sequence homology, reactivity with mouse and rat is expected. Reactivity has been confirmed with human HeLa cell lysates by Western blotting and with paraffin-embedded breast tumor and tumor-associated normal tissue by immunohistochemistry.
