Specificity: This item recognises human Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 7 (USP-7), also known as HAUSP, a 128 kDa ubiquitin specific protease belonging to the peptidase C19 family.
USP7 is deubiquitylating enzyme that cleaves ubiquitin from its substrates resulting in stabilization of the protein.

USP7 is a direct antagonist of MDM2 and has been demonstrated to protect p53 from degradation by MDM2 and thus implying that USP7 may act in a tumour suppressor role.
