Specificity: This item is specific for human nuclear SRC3 (steroid receptor coactivator 3), also known as NCOA3, AIB1 and p/CIP.

SRC3 is a member of the steroid receptor coactivator family members which interact with nuclear receptors and enhance the transcription of target genes in a ligand-dependent manner.

SRC3 has been shown to interact with several steroid receptors, such as oestrogen receptor alpha and progesterone receptor. Overexpression of SRC3 has been reported in a number of cancers, including breast cancer.

In addition, SRC3 has recently been shown to interact with IKK, suggesting that SRC3 may be involved in inflammatory and immune responses mediated by NF-kappaB.
