Specificity: This item recognises CD195, also known as CCR5 (chemokine (C-C motif) receptor 5), a receptor for a number of C-C-chemokines, including MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-beta and RANTES. CD195 is predominantly expressed on T cell, macrophages, dendritic cells and microglia. It is one of the major corecptors for HIV infectivity.

CD195 is expressed at low density on activated cells. For the best immunofluorescent staining results, it may be best to maximise signal by using a sensitive three-layer staining technique or a bright fluorochrome for detection.
