Specificity: Recognizes human beta-2 microglobulin. A single precipitin line is obtained with fetal serum, colostrum and selected pathological plasma and urine containing high levels of beta-2 microglobulin in bidimensional electrophoresis, immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) which shows a reaction of full identity with the purified immunogen. Does not crossreact with any other human plasma proteins.
