Specificity: Recognizes Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GDH). Cross-reactivity is expected for mitochondrial and brain isoforms of GDH (GDH1 and GDH2). Assay by IEP resulted in a single precipitin arc against purified and partially purified bovine liver glutamate dehydrogenase. Species cross-reactivity: Most primate species (including green monkey, white gibbon, chimpanzee orangutan and gorilla), chicken, mouse, rat, canine and other mammals as well as Xenopus tropicalis, zebrafish, rainbow trout and Atlantic salmon is expected. Cross-reactivity with GDH from other tissues and species may occur.
