Specificity: This item recognizes human CREB-regulated transcription coactivator 1 (CRTC1), a 67kDa cytoplasmic and nuclear protein belonging to the TORC family. CRTC1 is involved in transcription regulation and is the transcriptional coactivated for CREB. CRTC1 is highly expressed in specific regions of both adult and foetal brain such as the prefrontal cortex and cerebellum. Chromosomal abnormalities involving CRCT1 are found in certain carcinomas such as mucoepidermoid carcinomas.
