Specificity: This item recognizes mouse Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor delta (PPARD), also known as Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor beta (PPARB), a 52.2kDa transcription factor belonging to the nuclear hormone receptor (NR1) family.
PPARD is vital in the regulation of cellular differentiation, development and metabolism, PPARD is involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism and also acts as a receptor for the thiazolidinedione based drugs. Studies have indicated that PPARD mediates a variety of biological processes and maybe involved in the development of a number of disease states such as colorectal cancer, diabetes, atherosclerosis and obesity.
PPARD is ubiquitously expressed with highest levels being found in the placenta and skeletal muscle.
