Specificity: Rabbit anti human TACR2 (C terminal) recognizes TACR2 (Tachykinin Receptor 2), a 44.5kDa cell membrane protein, the receptor for the tachykinin neuropeptide substance K, also known as neurokinin A.

TACR2 belongs to a family of tachykinin receptors characterized by interactions with G proteins and 7 hydrophobic transmembrane regions. TACR2 is associated with G proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system, it mediates smooth muscle contraction in the central airway and it has been suggested that it may linked to the development of asthma.

TACR2 expression has been reported from a range of tissues including the trachea, lung, brain and the gastrointestinal tract.
