Specificity: This item detects an epitope within the C-terminal region of human TAP1, also known as transporter associated with antigen processing 1. TAP1 is an 81kDa membrane-associated protein which is a member of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter superfamily and together with the homologous subunit TAP2 forms the functional TAP complex.
TAP1 is involved in the transport of antigenic peptides from the cytosol into the endoplasmic reticulum, where they associate with major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. These complexes are presented at the cell surface to T-lymphocytes, which identify and remove infected or malignantly transformed cells.
This item does not cross react with TAP2.

Purity: N/A

Form: Purified
Purified IgG - liquid

Concentration: IgG concentration 1.0 mg/ml

Storage Stability: Store at 4 degree C or at -20 degree C if preferred. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. This product should be stored undiluted. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.
