This antibody recognizes human IL- 21R, the receptor for IL-21. IL-21R complexes with the common cytokine receptor gamma chain, gamma c, and mediates IL-21 signaling. IL-21 and its receptor activate the JAK-STAT signaling pathway. IL-21R is expressed in spleen and thymus as well as on natural killer (NK), T and B cells and plays a role in the proliferation and maturation of these cell populations.
